BLESSING OF A NEW CLASSROOM AND OFFICE BLOCK AND OPENING OF PRIMARY SECTION AT ST. CLARET SCHOOL, BURINGO
There was joy among the staff, pupils and stakeholders of St. Claret nursery and primary school
on the 7 th of February 2023 as they witnessed the blessing of a new classroom and office block
and the official opening of primary section at the school. The work of the new building started
with the blessing of the site on the 12 th of December 2022. The construction work was fully
funded by the Delegation. We greatly appreciate the Major superior and his council for this
project. The school is located in Buringo ward, Masheruka town council in Sheema district. It is
situated in a private land owned by the congregation. It was started in 2018, but after two years,
it was closed during the lockdown occasioned by Covid-19. The school was reopened in January
2022 and within the one year, there are many positive elements to appreciate and build on, and
with the help of the various stakeholders especially the support from the delegation of adding an
extra classroom and office, this year 2023, we have been able to start primary one and two. The
people around are appreciative of the development they are witnessing at the school and we hope
with the support of the congregation, hard work, and cooperation with the local people, the
school will be able to grow and fulfill the purpose for which it was established.
