BIBLE QUIZ AND COMMUNITY DAY AT ASPIRANCY HOUSE
29th May 2021 was remarkable day at the fraternity of Blessed Martyrs of Tarragona aspirancy house Bomang’ombe. As pope Francis states clearly in his encyclical letter Fratelli Tutti that “do not create walls that will prevent others from approaching you,” in that sense the Claretians missionaries Aspirancy house had their walls open for both religious and few lay faithful. As part of community programs, Bible quiz was conducted where by the participants were to read and internalize the gospel according to John. Three religious congregations that is, Claretians missionaries, Charles Borromeo sisters, and Veronica sisters participated in this exercise. Expounding on the theme of the day was extracted from Psalm119:105. ‘YOUR WORD IS A LAMP FOR MY FEET, A LIGHT FOR MY PATH, Rev. Fr Abel Mwarabu said that the purpose was to help the participants know more about the word of God through the questions that were asked and to bring us together in that fraternal love.
Bible quiz exercise was followed by Holy Mass led by Fr Thomas as he bid farewell to the community. During Mass, the president of the Bible Quiz (Rev. Fr. Alfred) announce the winner as St. Charles Borromeo sisters with 85%, followed by Claretians Missionaries with 83% and position three was taken by Veronicans sisters with 77%.
Launching of Boma Magazine was also the part of the day’s program conducted by the parish priest of Holy Family Hai. Later the community had fraternal lunch and the day was culminated with entertainments, music dance and drama and giving prizes to every participant but mostly the winners got heavy prize.
