A garden for prayer : Claretian Parish of Kimbeni, Kenya

A garden for prayer is not very common in our normal parish setup. But the Claretian Parish of Kimbeni managed to develop a prayer garden in its compound aimed at providing the Christians a suitable place to pray and meditate in the much-congested environment of Mombasa city. Fr. Martian Amalanathan cmf, the parish priest initiated this concept, and with the support of the parishioners a beautiful prayer garden was created within a short span of time. On the 14th of May 2022 Rt. Rev.Bishop Dominic, one of the auxiliary Bishop from the diocese of Kolon Germany (who is on sabbatical experience in the Archdiocese of Mombasa) blessed the prayer garden. Fr. Joy Mampillikunnel cmf, the Major superior of St. Charles Lwanga delegation of East Africa opened the prayer garden. The parishioners are very excited about this project and they are all thanking Fr. Martin cmf for this new venture.

A very splendid work, more Christians shall now refresh their faith and feel spiritually refreshed. The look vividly communicates the holiness that can be fetched… may more and more people of God be drawn to Him who created all.
